Strawberries and Cream... No... Chocolate Cream!!!

Hopefully strawberries are as yummy in your neck of the woods as they are in mine!!!  I thought that I would share one of my family’s favorite desserts with you.  Almost everyone has tried a chocolate covered strawberry and most absolutely love them, so why not try a new twist on an old favorite????

Strawberries and "Chocolate" Cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream
Whipped cream stabilizer **
3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
**Use the directions for whichever brand of whipping cream stabilizer that you buy.
Makes about 2 cups of whipped cream.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer until well blended. (Please note that you might want start by gently stirring the mixture, so that you don’t create a dust cloud.)

Beat mixture until soft and fluffy. If you have beaten the mixture too much and it is too dry, then you can mix in a tablespoon or two of cream to bring it to a better consistency.

Keep your chocolate cream refrigerated until you are ready to serve it.

Serve chocolate cream with fresh sweet strawberries and enjoy.

Now it is up to you to discover new things to serve with your chocolate cream.  Let me know what you what else you come up with that I may not have thought of but would love to try.

Welcome to Dainty Delites

Hi

My name is Tammy Jo and even though I have lived in southern California most of my life, I am a country girl at heart, having roots in S. Dakota and Nebraska. I am married to my high school sweetheart (Andy). Our nest includes two wonderful kids (Charity and Andy James), each of whom married their own special some-ones (Dave and AnnaLisa), and three beautiful grandchildren (Tyler, Sydney, and Rylee).

Over the years I have created and sold countless handcrafted items. I have dabbled in many mediums such as painting, sewing, jewelry, and paper crafts to name a few.

“Dainty Delites” was actually created 7 years ago, when Charity and I began catering tea parties as a side business. We have made tea sandwiches and desserts for parties ranging from 5 to 250 guests. Recently, I decided that “Dainty Delites” didn’t have to refer to only food. In fact, “Dainty Delites” could refer to any number of things, big or small that make us happy.
So on this blog, I plan to share many tidbits, like crafts, recipes, helpful hints, and other “Dainty Delites” that I hope will brighten your day.

Please join me on my adventure in blogging,
Tammy Jo
